Verse of the Day - weekend 5/24

Through the Bible - 1 Chronicles 11-14, John 9:24-10:21   Good morning, For this weekends verse we'll go to Romans chapter 5 which starts out by reminding of the peace that we can have in Christ even, perhaps especially when we have come through times of trial and testing.   Rom 5:3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.  NLT Today's verse follows the verses above: Rom 5:5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.   NKJV The events of this weekend brought to mind a song that I remember from my High School years by Andre Crouch.  They mean a lot more to me now.  Through all of the things in our lives, may we learn to trust and depend upon Him and His Word.   Through it All   Verse 1: I've had many tears and sorrows, I've had questions for tomorrow, there's been times I didn't know right from wrong. But in every situation, God gave me blessed consulation, that my trials come to only make me strong. Chorus: Through it all, through it all, I've learned to trust in Jesus, I've learned to trust in God. Through it all, through it all, I've learned to depend upon His Word. Verse 2: I've been to lots of places, I've seen a lot of faces, there's been times I felt so all alone. But in my lonely hours, yes, those precious lonely hours, Jesus lets me know that I was His own Chorus Verse 3: I thank God for the mountains, and I thank Him for the valleys, I thank Him for the storms He brought me through.
