Verse of the Day 12/4

Through the Bible - Hosea 7-10, Revelation 4

Good morning,
For today's verse we'll turn to Proverbs chapter 3 for what is probably a familiar verse to many of us.

Prov 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.   NKJV

We find ourselves in a time of uncertainty.  Uncertainty about jobs, health, and may face times when we are at a crossroads and must decide which road to take.  This can bring about anxiety, especially this time of year with all of the hustle and bustle.
The verses encourage us to trust, to lean on, and to acknowledge God and to seek Him, having the confidence that He will direct our path.
What I'd like for us to consider today is, what does it mean to acknowledge Him in "all your ways"?  Consider the way you talk, the way you work, the way you treat others, the way you dress, the way you eat and drink, and the way you worship.  I am sure that you can come up with other "ways".
What would your day look like today if you acknowledged God and trusted in Him in making decisions in these ways?
Trust in Him, He will direct your paths accordingly.
Read the passage below from The Message" and see how Christ will direct you today.
Blessings,
Mike

Prov 3:1-13
3 Good friend, don't forget all I've taught you;take to heart my commands. They'll help you live a long, long time,a long life lived full and well.
Don't lose your grip on Love and Loyalty.Tie them around your neck; carve their initials on your heart. Earn a reputation for living wellin God's eyes and the eyes of the people.
Trust God from the bottom of your heart;don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;he's the one who will keep you on track. Don't assume that you know it all.Run to God! Run from evil! Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life!
Honor God with everything you own;give him the first and the best. Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over. But don't, dear friend, resent God's discipline;don't sulk under his loving correction. It's the child he loves that God corrects;a father's delight is behind all this.
