Through the Bible - Habakkuk 3-Zephaniah 2, Revelation 15
Good morning,
Yesterday we considered the good news that is to be proclaimed to the nations. This morning I was reading in Psalm 98 and read the following which will serve as our verse for the day today.
Psalm 98:1 O SING to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have wrought salvation for Him.
2The Lord has made known His salvation; His righteousness has He openly shown in the sight of the nations. Amplified Bible
To be righteous is to be put in right standing before God. It is not something that we could do or achieve on our own. It was the gift of His son and the offer of salvation through faith and trust in Him thatt can put us in a right relationship with God.
As we celebrate Christmas let us remember and celebrate this great gift and be mindful that it is a gift to the nations. Consider today these few verses about the Christmas story from Luke 2 as you prepare to celebrate.
Luke 2:30-32 (Contemporary English Version)
With my own eyes I have seen
what you have done
to save your people,
31and foreign nations
will also see this.
32Your mighty power is a light
for all nations,
and it will bring honor
to your people Israel."
In Christ,
Mike

Eph 1:7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace NIV
For He has done marvelous things;
His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory.
2 The LORD has made known His salvation;
His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of the nations.
3 He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Israel;
All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4 Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth;
Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises.
5 Sing to the LORD with the harp,
With the harp and the sound of a psalm,
6 With trumpets and the sound of a horn;
Shout joyfully before the LORD, the King.
7 Let the sea roar, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell in it;
8 Let the rivers clap their hands;
Let the hills be joyful together
9 before the LORD,
For He is coming to judge the earth.
With righteousness He shall judge the world,
And the peoples with equity.
