besides me there is no God;
I equip you, though you do not know me,
6 that people may know, from the rising of the sun
and from the west, that there is none besides me;
I am the Lord, and there is no other. English Standard Version (ESV)
Today is April 15, for some it is considered the dreaded tax day. For others it will be just another day, with bigger things to be occupied with. It is a day when you will here conversations about government, whether it is too big or too small, whether we should pay more taxes.
The bigger concern for us is do we know the Lord? He is in control of all things. who can tell how much we owe Him? If we work at knowing Him, trusting Him, following Him the other things will take care of themselves. Actually, He will see that things are taken care of. He will equip you for the day ahead.
Praise the Savior, ye who know Him!
Who can tell how much we owe Him?
Gladly let us render to Him
All we are and have.
Jesus is the Name that charms us,
He for conflict fits and arms us;
Nothing moves and nothing harms us
While we trust in Him.
Trust in Him, ye saints, forever,
He is faithful, changing never;
Neither force nor guile can sever
Those He loves from Him.
Keep us, Lord, O keep us cleaving
To Thyself, and still believing,
Till the hour of our receiving
Promised joys with Thee.
Then we shall be where we would be,
Then we shall be what we should be,
Things that are not now, nor could be,
Soon shall be our own.
Blessings,
Mike

Isaiah 45:4-6
New Living Translation (NLT)
4 "And why have I called you for this work?
Why did I call you by name when you did not know me?
It is for the sake of Jacob my servant,
Israel my chosen one.
5 I am the Lord;
there is no other God.
I have equipped you for battle,
though you don't even know me,
6 so all the world from east to west
will know there is no other God.
I am the Lord, and there is no other
