Verse of the Day 11/1
2 Timothy 3:16New Living Translation
2 Timothy 3:16
New Living Translation
16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
Continuing in 2 Timothy, todays verse tells us about God's Word. We call it God's Word because it contains what He wants to say. It is "God breathed", it's writers inspired by God through to write, to convey His words, His instructions, His guidelines to live a life that He would have us live. No matter what we need, we find answers in God's Word.
By reading His Word, we know what to believe, what to be, what to do, how to live and how to die in peace. It has been said, "happy is the man who possesses a Bible! Happier still is he who reads it. Happiest of all is he who not only reads it - but obeys it, and makes it the rule of his faith and practice."
Read the Bible daily, meditate on it, pray over it and let it teach us, let it lead us into each day.
Blessings,
Mike
