Isaiah 66:1-2

New International Version

66 This is what the Lord says:

"Heaven is my throne,
    and the earth is my footstool.
Where is the house you will build for me?
    Where will my resting place be?
2 Has not my hand made all these things,
    and so they came into being?"
declares the Lord.

"These are the ones I look on with favor:
    those who are humble and contrite in spirit,
    and who tremble at my word.

As I was sitting on my back porch this morning having my devotions, the hummingbirds began to zip about around 6:30, gold finches and other birds as well.  Last night I had deer roaming around the yard, a ground hog checking out the overflow of the bird feeders, rabbits hopping across the yard as well as the squirels.  If you have bird feeders you have squirels. There are also butterfiies and bees that will show up later.  Thank you Lord for your creation!

Then I read today's verses.  God is ruling from heaven, He is in control, but He made all of these things, all of these creatures great and small. Man, made in the image of God is His crowning achievement.  He is dwelling with us and can dwell within us. 

May we appreciate all of His creation today as we head out into the world.

Thou burning sun with golden beam,
Thou silver moon with softer gleam,

4. Let all things their creator bless,
And worship him in humbleness,

Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son,
And praise the Spirit, Three in One:
