Verse of the Day 1/5
Micah 6:8New King James Version
Micah 6:8
New King James Version
8 He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of youBut to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?
How has God shown you what is good? It is not limited to the 10 commandments, but we should know what is good and prayerfully consider how we apply His word in our lives. It is more than just wearing a WWJD, what would Jesus do bracelet on our wrist. Before we can know what Jesus would do, we need to know what He did, what He said, what He commanded. If you are still unsure about something, you cannot go wrong by following what Jesus said in Mark 12.
Mark 12:30-31
The world, our world will be a better place if each of us put this into practice today. May we resolve to do so.And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
1 I am resolved no longer to linger,
charmed by the world's delight;
things that are higher, things that are nobler,
these have allured my sight.
Refrain:
I will hasten to Him,
hasten so glad and free;
Jesus, greatest, highest,
I will come to Thee.
2 I am resolved to go to the Savior,
leaving my sin and strife;
He is the true one, He is the just one,
He has the words of life. [Refrain]
3 I am resolved, and who will go with me?
Come, friends, without delay;
taught by the Bible, led by the Spirit,
we'll walk the heavenly way.
Blessings,
Mike

Micah 6:6-8
New King James Version
6 With what shall I come before the Lord,
And bow myself before the High God?Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings,
With calves a year old?
7 Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams,
Ten thousand rivers of oil?
Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression,
[a]The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
8 He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love [b]mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?
