The fall trees are just about in full color here in North Carolina. I love this time of year as the trees put on display the majesty of God's creation. As the psalmist writes in verse 12, it is as if the trees of the forest and along the parkway are singing for joy.
Many people will take a drive and go on for miles along the Blue Ridge Parkway or other places to try to "soak it all in". Their hearts are filled with wonder as they see a new picture of God's beautiful creation around every turn.
As we should appreciate and stand in wonder at God's creation, we should also stand in wonder at the beauty the love we see in human hearts as just a small glimpse of the beauty in the heart of God. These thoughts led me to an old hymn, "The Wonder of it All'. As we gaze at the beauty of God's creation in the trees, may our hearts sing like the forests and turn our hearts towards the One who orchestrated it.

13 before the Lord, for he comes,
for he comes to judge the earth.
