Verse of the Day 9/6

Verse of the Day 9/6

1 Corinthians 1:8-9
Holman Christian Standard Bible

He will also strengthen you to the end, so that you will be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful; you were called by Him into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

We've been considering how we have Christ, living in us and how we are to "put on Christ", put on the full armor of God daily as we head out into the world.  Today's verses are in keeping with that and they carry it out to the conclusion, to the "end", which is no end at all but a beginning, a renewal which will go on for eternity, with Him.

God has equipped you for what He has intended you to do, today, and every day. God is faithful, He will see to it.  As you read this, take some time to consider what it means to you.  What other verses or passages come to mind?  Be confident of this, God is faithful and He will strengthen you to the end.  He isn't finished working with you, in you yet.

Philippians 1:6
New International Version

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

If the struggle you're facing
Is slowly replacing
Your hope with despair
Or the process is long
And you're losing your song in the night
You can be sure
That the Lord has His hand on you
Safe and secure
He will never abandon you
You are His treasure
And He finds His pleasure in you.

He who began a good work in you
He who began a good work in you
Will be faithful to complete it
He'll be faithful to complete it
He who started the work
Will be faithful to complete it in you  (He Who Began a Good Work in You - Steve Green)

Blessings,
Mike

Thanksgiving

I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus, that in every way you were enriched in him in all speech and all knowledge— even as the testimony about Christ was confirmed among you— so that you are not lacking in any gift, as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
