Verse of the Day 3/20

Verse of the Day 3/20

Genesis 8:22
English Standard Version

22 While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease."

When I woke up this morning, the temperature here in North Carolina was 27 degrees, it doesn't feel like it but today marks the first day of spring, a new season in the year.
From the begiinning of time God has ordained the seasons, with spring we have see new birth baby birds in their nests, perhaps a fawn in the woods; and we see  re-birth seemingly dead plants and trees springing back to life in a flourish with blossoms and the promise of fruit to come.

We should be thankful to God for the seasons in nature and the seasons in life, they all have their qualities and characteristics to appreciate and prasie God for.  Most of all, we should be thankful that the God who created this loves you and me.

There's the wonder of sunset at evening,
The wonder as sunrise I see;
But the wonder of wonders that thrills my soul
Is the wonder that God loves me.

Refrain
O, the wonder of it all! The wonder of it all!
Just to think that God loves me.
O, the wonder of it all! The wonder of it all!
Just to think that God loves me.

Verse 2
There's the wonder of springtime and harvest,
The sky, the stars, the sun;
But the wonder of wonders that thrills my soul
Is a wonder that's only begun.

If it is not too cold where you are, go out for a walk or a jog, appreiate spring and all that it brings.  Praise God for it and sing a song of praise to Him.

Blessings,
Mike

Genesis 8:20-22
English Standard Version

God's Covenant with Noah

20 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and took some of every clean animal and some of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar. 21 And when the Lord smelled the pleasing aroma, the Lord said in his heart, "I will never again curse[a]

 the ground because of man, for the intention of man's heart is evil from his youth. Neither will I ever again strike down every living creature as I have done. 22 While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease."
