John 1:16 (AMP) For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift.
Today our family celebrates our granddaughter Ava's baptism, her family's act of dedicating her to the Lord. It is a special time and I know that both sides of her family are dedicated to bring her up in the grace and knowledge of our Lord.
F.B. Meyer in "The Blessed Life" writes, "Our Lord Jesus is the perfect resevoir of everything the soul of man requires for a blessed and holy life. To:
make much of Him
abide in Him,
draw from Him,
receive each moment from the fullness of His grace - si therefore the only condition of soul health."
Our prayer for Ava is that she will know, experience and treasure this grace upon grace, and to make much of, abide in, and draw it from her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are dedicated to her soul's health.
Blessings,
Mike

John 1:14-17 (ESV)
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 ( John bore witness about him, and cried out, "This was he of whom I said, 'He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.'") 16 For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.[a] 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
