Verse of the Day 11/7

Verse of the Day 11/7

1 Chronicles 16:23-24   Let the whole earth sing to the Lord!

    Each day proclaim the good news that he saves.
24 Publish his glorious deeds among the nations.
    Tell everyone about the amazing things he does.    New Living Translation (NLT)

I read 1 Chronicles 16 this morning and I couldn't help but praise God.  Praise Him for answered prayer, for the opportunity to come to Him with prayer requests, and to thank Him for all the other blessings in life.  Each day gives us opportunities to praise.  It may be to friends or loved ones, in the workplace or in the community, and it may extend across the globe.

Each day I send out these posts to friends on Facebook.  I also send them out via a blog.  I have no idea of who opens  them but I can check on the statistics and see where the posts have gone.  This month, here is where the blog has been opened across the world.

Wherever these posts go, my hope is that the whole earth, including anyone who reads these posts, will praise the Lord and proclaim the good news to someone  that Jesus saves. "For He is great and greatly to be praised" (v.25 below).

Praise the Savior, ye who know Him!
Who can tell how much we owe Him?
Gladly let us render to Him
  All we are and have.
2
Jesus is the name that charms us;
He for conflicts fits and arms us;
Nothing moves and nothing harms us
  When we trust in Him.
3
Trust in Him, ye saints, forever;
He is faithful, changing never;
Neither force nor guile can sever
  Those He loves from Him.
4
Keep us, Lord, oh, keep us cleaving
To Thyself and still believing,
Till the hour of Thy receiving
  The victorious Bride.
5
Then we shall be where we would be;
Then we shall be what we should be;
Things which are not now, nor could be,
  Then shall be our own.

1 Chronicles 16:23-36 New King James Version (NKJV)

23 Sing to the Lord, all the earth;
Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.
24 Declare His glory among the nations,
His wonders among all peoples.

25 For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised;
He is also to be feared above all gods.
26 For all the gods of the peoples are [a]idols,
But the Lord made the heavens.
27 Honor and majesty are before Him;
Strength and gladness are in His place.

28 Give to the Lord, O families of the peoples,
Give to the Lord glory and strength.
29 Give to the Lord the glory due His name;
Bring an offering, and come before Him.
Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness!
30 Tremble before Him, all the earth.
The world also is firmly established,
It shall not be moved.

31 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad;
And let them say among the nations, "The Lord reigns."
32 Let the sea roar, and all its fullness;
Let the field rejoice, and all that is in it.
33 Then the trees of the woods shall rejoice before the Lord,
For He is coming to judge the earth.

34 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
35 And say, "Save us, O God of our salvation;
Gather us together, and deliver us from the Gentiles,
To give thanks to Your holy name,
To triumph in Your praise."

36 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel
From everlasting to everlasting!

And all the people said, "Amen!" and praised the Lord.
