2 Thessalonians 3:16

New International Version

16 Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

Happy New Year!  It is hard to believe that another year has come to an end and that a new one is just beginning. Last night we probably took a look back at the year 2022 and some of the events and people that had an impact on our lives.  We have seen the hand of God in many situations and see His faithfulness in what He has done.

Today is a day for looking ahead to the New Year and what it migh bring.  It will be a day full of resolutions and planning.  It should be a time for encouragement and challenging one another and praying for one another. Paul's prayer to this group of believers is one that we should take to heart and one that we should pray for others.  

It is my prayer for you as well, a prayer for peace in whatever this coming year has in store, at all times and in every way and that the Lord will be with you supporting you, guiding you, residing in you every step of the way.

I post the words to this Fanny Crosby hymn often and today I believe that it is fitting, looking back and gazing forward into the new year.  May it be your song through endless ages that Jesus led you all the way.
