Verse of the Day 3/9

Verse of the Day 3/9

Romans 11:35-36
New King James Version

35 "Or who has first given to Him
And it shall be repaid to him?"

36 For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

Romans 8 is probably my favoirite chapter in the Bible, largely due to the "all things" statements towards the end of the chapter including "all things work together for good for those who love God" (v.28.]; "how will he not also graciousliy give us all things" (v.32); and "in all these tjhings we are more than conquerors through him who loved us" (v.37).

Here at the close of Romans 11 Paul is bringing his teaching of doctrine in the first 11 chapters to a conclusion. He will then divie into the application of it in chapters 12-16.  In closing the sectkon he once again brings up "all things".  He states, "of Him and through Him and to Him are all things".  From Him - He is the source of all things, including our very lives; "through Him"- He is the sustainer of all thiings, He holds all things together.  To Him are all things - everything circles back to Him to bring Him glory, praise and honor for eternity.

Aren't you glad that He is?

We'll close with the Doxology, praising God from whom "all things" flow.

  1. Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow;
    Praise Him, all creatures here below;
    Praise Him above, ye heav'nly host;
    Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Blessings,
Mike

Ephesians 1:7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace.  NIV

Romans 11:29-36
New King James Version

29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. 30 For as you were once disobedient to God, yet have now obtained mercy through their disobedience, 31 even so these also have now been disobedient, that through the mercy shown you they also may obtain mercy. 32 For God has committed them all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all.

33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!

34 "For who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has become His counselor?"
35 "Or who has first given to Him
And it shall be repaid to him?"

36 For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.
