Verse of the Day 6/3

Verse of the Day 6/3??????

John 4:13-14 ?? Jesus answered, ???Everyone who drinks this water will get thirsty again.??14??But no one who drinks the water I give will ever be thirsty again. The water I give is like a flowing fountain that gives eternal life.????????? Contemporary English Version (CEV)

It is not even officially "summer yet" but with all that is going on today with the COVID 19 virus and the civil unrest here in the U.S. many of us thirst for better things, an end to this virus and to civil and racial harmony.?? It is normal to yearn for these things but we will not find the true answers, the true solutions in government stimulus packages or legislation that will improve relations.?? Those things are good, but they will not last.?? Something else will come along and stir things up again.

True peace, happiness and inner joy are something that can only come from One source.?? It is not in us but through life in Christ, His Spirit can be in us and well up; even overflow in our lives to others.

What is it that you are truly longing for??? Where have you been going to find it? Drink deep from the water He gives.

They mercies oh Lord are higher than the heavens
Thy faithfulness reaches to the sky
Thy righteousness is like the great mountains Oh God
And thy judgments are like the great deep

How excellent is Your unfailing love
In the shadow of your wings
We feast on the abundance of Your house oh God
And drink from the river of Your delight

In Your light we see light
For with You is the fountain of life

So drink deep, drink deep
Drink deep from the fountain of life
Drink deep, drink deep
Drink deep from the fountain of life?? (Drink Deep - Matthew Ward)

John 4:10-15??English Standard Version (ESV)

Where do you get that living water???12??Are you greater than our father Jacob???He gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did his sons and his livestock.?????13??Jesus said to her,?????Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again,??14??but??whoever drinks of the water that I will give him??will never be thirsty again.[a]??The water that I will give him will become??in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.?????15??The woman said to him, ???Sir,??give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw water.???
