Verse of the Day - weekend 7/24

Through the Bible - Psalms 33-36, Acts 16:22-17:15

We are spending our family vacation at the beach.  This morning as I sat on the balcony overlooking the ocean I read the following from Psalm 95:

Psalm 95:5 (NLT)  The sea belongs to him, for he made it.
His hands formed the dry land, too.

The verse brings us back to the creation account in Genesis one.  He created the seas, the land, and the heavens.  He didn't create and just sit back.  He is still in control, He is sovereign over everything.

I hope to spend time over the next few days enjoying the sea and the land, in particular the beaches.   As I do, I will praise God the creator of it all.

 Psalm 95:6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.
7 For He is our God,
And we are the people of His pasture,
And the sheep of His hand.

Blessings,
Mike

Psalm 95

New Living Translation (NLT)

Psalm 95

1 Come, let us sing to the Lord!
Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.
2 Let us come to him with thanksgiving.
Let us sing psalms of praise to him.
3 For the Lord is a great God,
a great King above all gods.
4 He holds in his hands the depths of the earth
      and the mightiest mountains.
5 The sea belongs to him, for he made it.
His hands formed the dry land, too.

6 Come, let us worship and bow down.
Let us kneel before the Lord our maker,
7 for he is our God.
We are the people he watches over,
      the flock under his care.

If only you would listen to his voice today!
