Verse of the Day 7/14

Isaiah 6:1-3 In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train[a] of his robe filled the temple. Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another and said:

"Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
the whole earth is full of his glory!"   English Standard Version (ESV)

I woke up to what looks to be a glorious day this morning, beautiful sunshine, low humidity and what promises to be a beautiful day.  Many will take a look outside and decide to "blow off" church to do something outdoors.

My cousin Don is the pastor of a church and this morning I received a facebook announcement from him and the church which read " Don't listen to those voices in your head. It is NOT too nice to go to church today!"    Don has it right.  On such a glorious day, why not go and worship the One who blessed us with it, who blessed us with all of creation, with every breath that we have to soak in His blessings.

May the eyes of our hearts be opened to see the glory of the Lord in the temple, in the sanctuary this morning.

Open the eyes of my heart, Lord
Open the eyes of my heart
I want to see You
I want to see You

To see You high and lifted up
Shinin' in the light of Your glory
Pour out Your power and love
As we sing holy, holy, holy
Holy, holy, holy

We cry holy, holy, holy
You are holy, holy, holy
I want to see you

Blessings,
Mike

Isaiah 6:1-4

New Living Translation (NLT)

Isaiah's Cleansing and Call

It was in the year King Uzziah died that I saw the Lord. He was sitting on a lofty throne, and the train of his robe filled the Temple.Attending him were mighty seraphim, each having six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. They were calling out to each other,
"Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven's Armies!
The whole earth is filled with his glory!"
Their voices shook the Temple to its foundations, and the entire building was filled with smoke.
