Verse of the Day 3/29

Verse of the Day 3/29

Psalm 150:1-2 Praise the Lord!
Praise God in His sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty firmament!
2 Praise Him for His mighty acts;
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! New King James Version (NKJV)

Recently I posted how David wrote, "7 times a day I will praise You" and we considered what that might look like. My daily reading this morning brought me to Psalm 150 which is all about praise. 13 times in this fairly short psalm praise is referenced. Read through the psalm and note some of the things that are praised and they way that praise is offered. There is joy, there is exuberance, there is celebration. It should be in our lives to.

As I read this I was looking out the window at the Rocky Mountains just outside of Rocky Mountain National Park. Looking up to the snow covered peaks it is easy to picture the majesty of God, to see a glimpse of His "sanctuary". He is the God of the hills and valleys, His majesty is before Him and He is for us. Think about that.

No matter where you are today, consider His excellent greatness and praise Him, Lord of all!

Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!
Sing, O Earth, His wonderful love proclaim!
Hail Him! Hail Him! Highest archangels in glory;
Strength and honor give to His holy Name!
Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard His children,
In His arms He carries them all day long.
Refrain:
Praise Him! Praise Him! Tell of His excellent greatness;
Praise Him! Praise Him! Ever in joyful song!
Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!

For our sins He suffered, and bled, and died.
He our Rock, our hope of eternal salvation,
Hail Him! Hail Him! Jesus the Crucified.
Sound His praises! Jesus who bore our sorrows,
Love unbounded, wonderful, deep and strong.

Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!
Heav'nly portals loud with hosannas ring!
Jesus, Savior, reigneth forever and ever;
Crown Him! Crown Him! Prophet, and Priest, and King!
Christ is coming! over the world victorious,
Pow'r and glory unto the Lord belong.

Blessings,

Mike
